HSM 2 Set to Premiere in US and Canada in August
High School Musical 2, the sequel to last year’s Emmy-Award winning Disney Channel original movie, will premiere in US and Canada on Friday, August 17th (8:00 p.m., ET).
Worldwide, the sequel will begin premiering on Disney Channels in September. Filmed on location in Salt Lake City and St. George, Utah, High School Musical 2 is from First Street Films and Salty Pictures. It is executive produced by Bill Borden and Barry Rosenbush. Don Schain serves as the producer.
Written by former rock music journalist Peter Barsocchini, the sequel features songs spanning the pop, rock, hip-hop and swing genres. Returning cast members include Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman.
