Ashley Tisdale, arguably one of the hottest stars to come out of the Disney group, is getting ready for the release of her first feature-length film in the highly anticipated July 22nd release of “Picture This”.
'When I read the script for PICTURE THIS, I just fell in love with the lead character Mandy, this goofy, unpopular, girl next door who knows what she wants, but isn't willing to sacrifice who she is to get it,' said Tisdale.
'Mandy's real and I think a lot of kids will relate to that. It reminds me a lot of when I was in high school. I wasn't really in the popular group, but I wasn't in the nerdy group. I was somewhere in the middle, too.'
Tisdale’s role as Mandy Gilbert, an unpopular high school senior who lands a date to the biggest party of the year with Drew (Robbie Amell), the school's hottest guy. Here’s the problem... she's grounded! With the help of her friends and her new, must-have video phone, she'll have to outsmart her overprotective dad and Drew's ex-girlfriend, in a crazy, adventure-filled day that proves popularity can come and go, but good friends will always be in the picture!

It's hard to be a Disney pop star these days (I'm being facetious if you couldn't tell), and Ashley Tisdale is no exception. With the help of today's hottest producers and writers (Scott Storch ,Diane Warren and the Matrix to name a few) Tisdale has a pretty safe group of songs on her new album, Headstrong. For many people (especially those without children in the age 5 and over demographic) Tisdale is a virtual unknown, which begs some to ask, "I should care why exactly?" But for those who do have children and they do happen to be in the demographic Disney markets in, they can give a definitive answer, "because Disney rules the world!" And Ashley Tisdale is soon to be their Queen.
For those of us who had no clue who she was until she was hard to ignore, here's a short review on this sprite who has taken control of our children. She stars on one of Disney's most popular shows, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody (two boys sure to break tween hearts everywhere), and played the bitchy well dressed character in High School Musical (Grease for middle schoolers). She has many credits to her name that range from voicing a character on Kim Possible (love that show!) to acting in Donny Darko (huh?) The girl's got skills, and they most certainly are not going to waste.

Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron are ready to bring back Troy and Gabriella for what will certainly be a blockbuster hit on the big screen when the final chapter of the High School Musical film series hits the big screen later this year. Now it is being reported that there may be a Lohan involved.

Rest easy, it doesn't sound as if Lindsay is anywhere near the project but apparently Ali Lohan wants a shot at Disney fame. It certainly worked well enough for her sister.
